HOUSE OF THE YEAR 2018!
Being a Chinese owned company operating in New Zealand, it is well known amongst our employees that the Luben Prize of China Construction Engineering is the highest honor in engineering quality is China’s Construction industry. In New Zealand the equivalent of the Luben prize is The House of The Year award, which is commonly regarded as the “Oscars” of the NZ construction industry. It is held every year and is a competition thousands of Registered Master Builders compete for! Earlier in August we mentioned in another article posted onto the WeChat platform, that August 4th was the night of the House of The Year awards ceremony in Auckland. The Sky City Convention Centre was filled with the Registered Master Builders of Auckland and the greater North Island. Over 600 people participated in this evening all eager to find out the winners of 2018.

The entrants of 2018’s competition starting to fill the banquet hall. Walking through the hall gave all entrants the opportunity to see all the other entrants of the night.
The entry submitted by BCG Construction looked quite impressive on the stand with all the other beautiful entries!
Looking at the seating plan for the night we got a good chance to see all the well-known construction companies in the area that entered.

The competition is made up of different categories and the entrants will choose which category to enter when they submit their projects. For example, house renovation under $500,000.
